India-Vietnam ties will strengthen: President


New Delhi, Sep 1 (IANS): President Pranab Mukherjee on Tuesday said the "fruitful partnership" between India and Vietnam will "continue to strengthen" in the years to come.

In a message to his Vietnamese counterpart Truong Tan Sang on the country's National Day, Mukherjee said: "Our two countries share a long tradition of friendship and cooperation. Our fruitful partnership has grown in recent years and I am confident that it will continue to strengthen in the years to come."

"I extend warm greetings and felicitations to you and to the people of Vietnam on the occasion of your 70th National Day. I take this opportunity to convey my best wishes for your personal well-being and for the progress and prosperity of the friendly people of Vietnam".
