Hot day in Delhi, same likely on Thursday


New Delhi, Sep 2 (IANS): It was a hot and sunny Wednesday in the national capital as the maximum temperature settled two notches above the season's average at 36.2 degrees Celsius. The weather is likely to remain similar on Thursday, the Met office said.

According to the India Meteorological Department, the sky will remain clear on Thursday and the maximum and minimum temperatures will hover around 36 and 27 degrees, respectively.

Wednesday morning was sunny and the minimum temperature settled at 27.5 degrees Celsius, slightly above the season's average. The day's maximum humidity was recorded at 80 percent.

Tuesday's maximum temperature was recorded at 36.6 degrees Celsius, three notches below the season's average, while the minimum temperature was recorded at 27.5 degrees, one notch below the average for this time of the season.
