Bangkok bombing: Third suspect arrested


Bangkok, Sep 3 (IANS): Thai authorities have arrested a man for his suspected involvement in the deadly August 17 bombing at a shrine here that killed 20 people, the media reported on Thursday.

Kamarudeng Saho, the third suspect, was apprehended in Sungai Kolok district of Thailand's Narathiwat province on Tuesday, the Bangkok Post reported.

He was taken to Bangkok and detained at the 11th Army Circle headquarters on Wednesday, Xinhua news agency reported.

Investigators found that the man had contacted Wanna Suansan, one of eight wanted suspects in the Erawan Shrine bombing that also injured more than 120, police spokesman Prawut Thawornsiri was quoted as saying.
