Dubai, Jun 27: Karaval Milan Dubai, a unity of 19 Parishes of Kallianpur-Kundapur deanery in the coastal (Karaval) belt with a single voice, has condemned the inhuman attack on Fr Sylvester Pereira by Ramanna Shetty and few others on Monday June 25.
Karaval Mila president Rony Byndoor and founder president Charles Mascarenhas in a joint press release to daijiworld.com requested local political leaders, dist in-charge-minister Dr V S Acharya, senior leaders of Udupi district such Manorama Madhwaraj , Lalaji Mendon , Jayaprakash Hegde , Oscar Fernandes and Winnifred Fernandes to make sure that administration will take necessary legal action without any delay and pressure against the culprits.
"Coastal belt is one of the most peaceful places in the entire state and there should not anything that tarnishes this image. Hence religious harmony must be promoted and nurtured rather than sponsoring communal hatred with these kind of inhuman attacks. Peace should not be disturbed just because of a few selfish fundamentalists" stated the press note.
