CPI leader Atul Anjan blames Sunny Leone's condom ad for rise in rape cases!

Sep 3 (Daily News & Analysis): Senior CPI leader Atul Anjan claims in a video that Sunny Leone's Manforce condom ads are responsible for the rise in rape cases in the nation.

In the video he claims that Miss Leone is from Australia (she's actually from Canada) and that Mahesh Bhatt brought her to the country and made her a heroine.

He also goes on to explain the horror her felt after watching porn films and laid the blame for the rising rape cases on such ads. He claimed such ads promoted sexuality and ruined people's sensibilities.

Earlier, Sri Ram Sene Leader Pramod Muthalik had claimed that Sunny Leone should be deported because her porn videos were apparently responsible for promoting rapes, kidnapping and murder in society. He had claimed that that she should be deported.

He had said: “Her (pornographic) videos are more popular than today’s item songs; she is more popular than Narendra Modi and has a larger fan base,” he said. He had also claimed that the videos had an adverse effect on children and claims that a young boy fell ill after checking Miss Leone's website.

Perhaps the notion that we can be a nation which understands and respects women's sexual freedom and the concept of consent is too much to ask for.
