Seven policemen killed in Afghanistan


Kabul, Sep 3 (IANS): Seven policemen were shot dead by unidentified gunmen in Afghanistan's Helmand province on Thursday, officials said.

"Unidentified armed men shot dead and killed seven police personnel at a checkpoint in Bartaqi area of Garmsir district," district police chief told Xinhua news agency.

Investigation has been initiated into the case, he said.
