Mercedes rolls out AMG C 63 S priced at Rs 1.3 crore


New Delhi, Sep 3 (PTI): German luxury car maker Mercedes-Benz today launched AMG C 63 S here in the performance car segment priced at Rs 1.3 crore (ex-showroom Delhi).

C 63 S is the 10th model launched by Mercedes-Benz in India in the AMG class and is a car with intelligent assistance systems powered by a 4.0-litre V8 bi-turbo engine.

The sports car consumes 32 per cent less fuel compared with its predecessors and hurtles to 100 km/ph in four seconds, Mercedes-Benz India said in a statement.

Mercedes-Benz India MD & CEO Eberhard Kern said: "The C 63 AMG has been a legendary sports car, and with the launch of the new generation AMG C 63 S, the success story of the Mercedes-AMG brand will be further rooted in India."

He hoped that AMG C 63 S will play a key role in strengthening Mercedes-Benz's strong presence in the performance car segment.

" This is the 10th AMG model we are introducing as there is an increasing demand for our high-end performance cars. The launch of the AMG C 63 S further reiterates our 'top of the pyramid' product stratergy which highlights our endeavour in offering the best products from our global portfolio for our indian customers," Kern added
