Air India launches flight on Bengaluru-Mysuru route


Bengaluru, Sep 4 (PTI): Air India said it has put Mysuru on the air map with the introduction of six days a week flight from Bengaluru to the palace city.

The inaugural flight was flagged off by RV Deshpande, Karnataka minister for heavy industries and tourism and Sreenivas Prasad, minister for revenue, Air India said in a release.

The introduction of the flight is a great boon to tourists and corporates like Infosys and others in IT sector which have campuses in Mysuru, it said.

The flight left Bengaluru at 6am on Thursday with nine passengers and returned from Mysore with 16 passengers.

The ATR aircraft will operate six days a week barring Wednesdays.
