Government warns against travel to Libya

New India, Sep 4 (IANS): The government on Friday issued an advisory warning Indians against travelling to Libya.

"In view of the deteriorating security situation in Libya, the government has issued several advisories for Indian nationals to avoid travel to Libya," the ministry of external affairs said.

"The advisory is once again reiterated advising all Indian nationals to avoid travelling to Libya and not to take any employment in Libya," it said in a statement.

Libya has descended into anarchy following the fall of Muammar Gaddafi in 2011.
