Hot Friday in Delhi, similar Saturday expected


New Delhi, Sep 4 (IANS): It was a hot, sunny Friday in the national capital as the maximum temperature settled three notches above the season's average at 37.1 degrees Celsius. The weather is likely to remain similar on Saturday, the Met Office said.

"The sky will remain clear tomorrow (Saturday)," said an official of the India Meteorological Department. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover around 37 and 27 degrees.

Friday morning was sunny and the minimum temperature settled a notch above average at 26.9 degrees Celsius. The day's maximum humidity was recorded at 74 percent.

Thursday's maximum temperature was recorded at 36.5 degrees Celsius, two notches above the season's average, while the minimum temperature was recorded at 26.9 degrees Celsius, a notch above the average for this time of the season.
