Mangaluru: Underworld element Vicky Shetty's associate arrested

Mangaluru, Sep 4: Mangaluru city crime branch (CCB) police on Friday September 4 arrested an associate of underworld element Vicky Shetty alias Balakrishna Shetty.

The arrested, identified as Deekshith Poojary (26) from Maroli, is an accused in several murder as well as attempt-to-murder cases. He was absconding and not attending court as per the requirement after securing bail.

Deekshith has been allegedly involved in the John Pinto murder case, Vijayendra Bhat shootout case, in the abduction of advocate Prakash, a conspiracy case to murder some prominent people with the help of Chota Shakeel aides, murder conspiracy to kill Ravi Poojary aides in 2014 and Durgaprasad Shetty murder case.

Deekshith was arrested at KSRTC bus stand in connection with a case registered at Kavoor police station. The court had issued arrest warrant against him after he failed to appear during the hearings.

He has been already produced in court.

    Who has given him so much of freedom, that he can attend the court when he wants. Now dont tell me this time also bail. Well our lives are in danger because of this system. Its a real criminal decision to give this man bail. Cops before all these decision comes, give him such beating that he should not be able to get up forever and ever Amen.

    When i was in 7th or 8th std, i got highest in science in my class and whole school because of marks counting error, otherwise i failed but this error encouraged me to score very high marks in science & maths after this incident.
    If judges & human right activities comes to save u, if u rape or murder, then why should u not continue with this. AGREE OR DISAGREE, but dont blame upbringing or misguided, look at delhi rape case

    He is having 52 cases registered against him and some of them are Murder charges, still he is freely moving with bail. He is using his wife and family members to threaten the Police & Public Prosecutor in the name of Human Rights. False complaints are filed by his wife against his adversaries. Still such a dangerous man is easily getting bail, Which shows loopholes in our legal system.

    Arrested earlier, granted bail didn't appear for the hearings, arrest warrant issued, arrested again and will be let out on bail and the story goes on and on and on.
