Udupi, Jun 29: Prior to the Paryaya of Shree Sugunendrateertha Swamiji of Puttige Math, the traditional ritual of Kattige (firewood) Muhurtam was held at Shree Krishna Math here on Thursday Jun 28.

While addressing the devotees, Shree Sugunendrateertha Swamiji said that UNO has quoted that religion is necessary for the survival of mankind. Therefore the religious ceremonies should be organized for rejuvenating the religion.

He further said that after his Paryaya the devotees of Shree Krishna who are scattered all over the world, would be brought under one roof. There would not be any discrimination among the devotees, he assured.

In the forthcoming Paryaya, a chariot containing precious stones would be offered to Shree Krishna. The ban on plastic in and around the Math, American model for parking facility in the car street, family disputes redressal court will be formed under the leadership of Swamiji while self employment training centre and Bhagavad Gita course would be introduced in the Math, he added.

At the same time, sandal wood plants will be distributed to the devotees along with prasadam. 

Kenja Shridhar Tantri, Gopal Acharya, Prasanna Acharya, Pradeepkumar Kalkura and others were present at the occasion.
