Soldier injured in Pakistani truce violation


Jammu, Sep 5 (IANS): An Indian Army soldier sustained a minor injury on Saturday when the Pakistani Army fired indiscriminately on Indian positions on the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district of the Jammu region.

"Pakistani Army resorted to unprovoked firing at our positions in Krishna Ghati sector of the LoC today (Saturday) at 7.45 a.m.," a defence spokesman told IANS here.

"One soldier sustained a minor injury in this incident."

"The Pakistani Army also violated the ceasefire in Hamirpur sector of the LoC by targeting our positions from 9.50 p.m. to 10.15 p.m. yesterday (Friday)," he said.
