Poacher kills police constable in Rajasthan


Jaipur, Sep 7 (IANS): A poacher killed a police constable in Rajasthan's Bikaner district when a team went to arrest him, police said.

A police official told IANS that the incident occurred when a police party went to arrest a poacher for allegedly poaching deer. "He shot dead constable Uma Ram of Panchu police station in Bikaner."

The poacher ran away after shooting the 40-year-old constable, the official said, adding that police have launched a search to find the culprit.
