Nalco proposes Rs.30,000 crore investment in Odisha


Bhubaneswar, Sep 9 (IANS): Aluminium giant Nalco has said it was ready to invest Rs.30,000 crore in Odisha, which recently unveiled a new industrial policy with an aim to attract investment of Rs.1.73 lakh core.

"Out of the prospective investors in Odisha, Nalco is in a position to invest to the tune of Rs.30,000 crore," said Nalco CMD T.K. Chand in a statement.

Recently, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik unveiled the Industrial Promotion Resolution, 2015, eying to attract Rs.1.73 lakh crore investment and to generate employment for 3 lakh people by 2019-20.
