Islamabad, Sep 9 (IANS): At least six kidnapped pro-government volunteers have been killed by a militant group in Pakistan's Khyber region.
Militants of the Lashkar-i-Islam group on Tuesday had captured 11 volunteers of the pro-government Zakakhel peace committee in Khyber region's Sanda Pal area, Dawn online reported.
Five of the captured men were killed on Monday, while the bullet-riddled bodies of the remaining six were found on Tuesday.
A spokesman for the militants said the volunteers were helping the security forces against them.
