Monthi Fest: Konkans Ireland, Dublin

Dublin, Sep 13: Konkans Ireland, Dublin celebrated Monthi Fest (nativity of Mother Mary) on Saturday September 12 at 10 am at St Brenden's College, Bray.

In preparation of Monthi Fest 9 days of Novena was held to venerate Mother Mary with flowers in residences.

The event began with the mass which was celebrated by Fr Suresh and co-celebrant was Fr Mathias.

All the members participated in the mass devoutly and sang Konkani hymns. After the mass all the members of the group venerated Our Lady with flowers and the hymn ‘Moriyek hogolsiyan’.

After the mass, Ashok compered the cultural programme. Many adults and children showed their stage talents like dancing, singing and skits to entertain the audience.

A delicious vegetarian lunch prepared by Gregory Sequeira was enjoyed by all.

All the group members enjoyed the event with games and baila dances. At the end James gave a vote of thanks to all the members for participating Monthi Feast and also thanked the priests for celebrating the mass.

At the end of the day everybody returned home with a smile on their faces and sweet memories.
