Bangladeshi officials attend workshop in Ghaziabad


Ghaziabad, Sep 14 (IANS): A 30-member delegation from the Bangladesh Civil Services on Monday attended a workshop in Ghaziabad to learn about the Indian administrative system, an official said.

Ghaziabad district magistrate Vimal Kumar Sharma said the delegation of civil officers, with experience of over 20 years and of the deputy commissioner and district magistrate rank, were apprised about the Indian administrative system, the role of the district magistrate and his/her subordinates.

They were shown the record room, treasury, development wing and apprised about the system of issuance of birth certificate, death certificates and arms licences.

Dhaka Deputy Commissioner Mohd Tofazzel Hussain, Noakhali Deputy Commissioner Badre Munir Firdaus and Shariyatpur Deputy Commissioner Ramchandra Dass were in the 30-member delegation.

M.K. Bhandari from the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration in Mussoorie was the coordinator.
