Pakistan blast toll rises to 11

Islamabad, Sep 15 (IANS): The toll in the bomb blast in Pakistan's Multan city has risen to 11, officials said on Tuesday.

At least 71 people were injured when the explosion rocked Multan city on Sunday.

All the dead have been identified and none of them was a suicide bomber, Dawn online quoted regional police officer Tariq Masood Yaseen as saying.

"The blast was not a suicide attack and the person who was being suspected as suicide bomber was a passerby," he said.

Another police officer Tariq Waheed said a remote control device was used in the blast.

About seven to eight kg explosive material was used in the blast, he said.
