Udupi: Minor girl raped, complaint filed at Malpe police

Udupi, Sep 16: A ninth standard girl student from Nejar near Santhekatte has been allegedly raped by an unknown person.

As per details, the girl complained about severe stomach ache on Tuesday September 15 and her parents admitted her into government district women and children hospital in Udupi. The results on her health later revealed that she is pregnant.

The victim hails from poor Dalit family and a student of Thenkanidiyur government  high school. Her parents are coolie workers.

The victim has not revealed the name of the accused. A case stands registered at Malpe police station. Police have begun the investigations.

    Very sad and disgusting...children are innocents till they become adulthood while their body is transforming. Case let the law decide.
    Unlike richness, Poverty brings all the more disgrace.
    Please please help and save the girl (would be mother) and the child infant....nothing is above at the cost of human beings life.

    This Looks like very fishy.since the Girl complains of stomach ache and pregnant,doesn't reveal the Name of the Person,I am sure she has or given some medicine to Abort by the Person responsible.She was threatened not to reveal the Name,when she has undergo consequences may be.afterall she is yet a minor ,gets afraid.Even the parents had to be careful and responsible for their children.someone must have taken the Advantage of Absence of Girls parents.or giving Money or presents.Damn that Person.ask her if she has taken any medicine.Truth will comeout.still it is a rape case since she is minor .The fellow must be absconding.catch him and punish him.

    This is the case of love affair.but when she did get pregnant, she didn't have a choice but to reveal.But the boy will be screwed under the law specially minor girl.So why we should not give both of them punishment???If the case of both minors...

    Teenagers sometimes go beyond limit to explore their curiosity and face such consequence.
    Whom to blame?
    Self : No. she is minor
    Parents : No they do not keep an eye round the clock
    Opposite sex: Yes, he seduced her and took advantage
    Rape : Yes. (Only after being conceived)
    Is that called act of ignorance, innocence or no guidance

    It is clearly a case of consensual sex (otherwise why she did not complain right after the incident) wherein, she being of very poor background, would have been enticed by some guy with some glitzy gifts, food, etc.!!

    In modern times, as per mass survey conducted in Mumbai, the first sexual encounter age has come down to below 14 years and there are many cases of unwanted pregnancies/STDs reported by docs from across sections of society!!

    No need to blame He or she . This type of incidents occurs only due to the weak Indian Jurisdiction. Let the police find the culprit and present him to the court within 3 months and let the judge give his judgement within 6 months and give the severe punishment like guilty getting in Middle East countries . And other notice this and think 10 times before commencing this type of activity. Surely cases will be reduced .

    don't we know that it's so easy to catch the culprit in this case. she is 9th standard student and obviously knows the person who acted on her. But no, our judicial system is so bad that anybody can escape. This news should have come with that person's name who literally raped this innocent girl. but we will have our own time line, procedures... and end of the day actual culprit will escape from the law. pity on ourselves.

    What's going on!! This is disgusting news. Our judiciary system is totally handicapped. Had any rapists from the past cases been instantly hanged or castrated, none would have the guts to indulge in such a shameful crime.

    Men with depraved mindset need to be sent to some institution to be reformed.

    On another note, since the girl is from the Dalit community, there will be no massive protests. No ABVP flags will be seen flying.

    Ninth standard girl will surely be 14-15 years old. With so much awareness going on around, is she dumb not to utter one word against the abuse that took place with her ?

    come on girls, for once he may have over-powered you - shout at the top of your voice so that he does not do it again with you or blackmail you !

    Shame is gone when you gave up your fight with him for whatever reason - don't shrink - rise up and fight ! Make him to pay for his offense publicly !

    For consensual sex, one has to be an adult. At the most, those both consenting adults must ensure no pregnancy. Under current circumstances, will the man stand next to her and say its his ? Tell me ! When he isn't ready for it, it IS rape and she is lured into it.

    For consensual sex one should have the consent. How you know the boy is major? Now the pregnancy is the problem, else rape or sex would have continued and Girl is not ready to reveal the name. Don't be a judge and the jury as if you know the facts and figure.

    Its like ponda cape tikkalnda rape.

    Why she had not complained until she had stomach pain. Severe punishment is the only solution to the rapists who lure the teens as they have no proper idea at their age and may fall easily when encouraged with some offers.
