Mumbai: Tulu Kannadiga groups celebrate Ganeshotsava

Mumbai, Sep 17: Tulu Kannadigas in Mumbai celebrated annual Ganesha Chathurthi in gaiety as per scriptures.



























GSB Vadala: Gowda Saraswath Brahmins started the practice of celebrating Ganesh Chathurthi on a small scale in 1955. However the community has become famous in Ganapathi Mandalas by celebrating the diamond jubilee in 2014.

The celebrations will conclude on the day of Ananta Chathurdashi. Leaders of the celebrations N N Pal, M V Kini, Ullas D Kamath, Govind S Bhat, Subhas Pai, Sunil Pai, Akshay Pai, Kamalaksha Saraf and others
were present.

Bantara Sangha, Mumbai: The grand festival celebrations were held in Mahavishnu Mandira under the leadership of Jnana Mandira Samithi executive president Bolnaduguthu Chandrahasa Rai. Chief priest of the mandira, Vidwan Arvind Banninthaya conducted pooja programmes.

Harish Vasu Shetty who was in charge of decorations, membership collection committee executive president N C Shetty, cultural and literary committee executive president Ravindranath Bhandary, Kurla Bhandup regional committee executive president Bhujanga Shetty, organizer Varanga Pravin S Shetty and other office bearers, Bolnaduguthu Shwetha Chandrahas, Kurla Diwaker Shetty, K K Shetty, Shashikala N Shetty, Geetha R Shetty and other devotees were present.

Mumbai Kannada Sangha: The Ganesha established about eight decades ago in the office of Kannada Sangha was worshiped. Priest Sanjiv Acharya conducted the poojas. President of the Sangha, Gururaj S Nayan, honorary chief secretary Sathish N Bangera, library official S K Padmanabha and others were present.

Mysore Association, Mumbai: The Gauri Ganapathi was worshiped at their office on Bavudaji Road, Matunga east. Priest Srinivasa Rao conducted the religious rituals. Bhavani Bargava, G S Nayak, Sudha Srinivas and others of the Sangha were present.
