Hindon Air Force Station readied to celebrate Air Force Day


Ghaziabad, Sep 18 (IANS): The Hindon Air Force Station is being readied to celebrate Air Force Day on October 8, a senior Indian Air Force officer said on Friday.

Air Commodore Anil Sabarwal told IANS that the air base, which has been made a quick response base being situated in the National Capital Region (NCR), was ready to celebrate the 83rd Air Force Day this year.

Air Chief Marshal Arup Raha will inspect the ceremonial parade.

The highlight of the parade will be the investiture ceremony where the chief of air staff would confer Vayu Sena Medals and Vishisht Seva Medals.

To motivate young minds, students of various schools and colleges based in NCR have been invited to witness the full rehearsal on October 6, Air Commodore Sabarwal said.
