Skeletal Remains in Garbage - Making No Bones about it...

Mangalore, Jul 10: Readers are aware of the Daijiworld scoop on the spotting of parts of human skeletal remains, mainly bones, in a garbage bin in the old bus stand in Hampankatta in the heart of the city late in the night on Monday, July 9.

Our immediate enquiries revealed apprehensions in the minds of the people about possible practice of  1. Black magic 2. Cannibalism 3. Human sacrifice (mainly of children) existing in Mangalore.

In response to the enquiries by our correspondents, the police have ruled out the above and they speak of the only possiblity that the source of these bones could only be a medical institution. According to them,  a lower-grade employee might have been given the charge of disposing of the bones after the education-related analysis and experiments were done and he may have dumped them  in the garbage bin as an easy way out.

What the person may have thought was that if the bones were packed well and thrown into the bin, they would get into the city corporation garbage disposal vehicle and from there to the Pachanady dumping yard near Vamanjoor on the outskirts of the city unntoiced.

But what was not expected was that rag-pickers keep raking the garbage bins every now and then, putting all the trash helter-skelter.

If a proper enquiry is conducted, some skeletons are likely to roll down the cupboards, say some readers. Foremost in the minds of many citizens is the question:  Was it proper for anyone to have dumped the bones that way thus creating a public scare ? Was it correct for the superiors to have allowed such a thing to happen?

Many philanthropists donate their bodies and organs after death for purpose of medical use and analysis. In the final count, and making no bones about it, the public would like to know if this is the way a human being is treated, since human values demand that even a dead person should be treated with dignity and respect.

It looks like these bones are used by medical students. These kind of bones are used in anatomy block for study purpose. Any way, that is not the right place for disposal.

Skeletal Remains in Garbage - Making No Bones about it... Looking at the photos, any person with some general knowledge, would know that these "skeletal remains" came from the study table of a medical student! (with so many medical colleges in mangalore, this may become a regular feature!)

There are markings on the bones, skull has been sawed open....etc...and the bones look aged and warnished

Its feels very bad about things happenning in my native place. This this might be done by some Astrologer or black magician since Mangalore is very famous for such dirty belief's though its a waste of money.

Somebody might have done this while his bussiness of Astrology or black magic didn't attract people. Let people come out from these superstitious beliefs and improve Mangalore in better way.

These human bones were probably used by some medico/dental students for anatomy and then disposed off when not needed. I too did the same after my 1st yr BDS.

Though this is horrible, one should not come to the conclusion that it is a murder, black magic or the body is used for experiment purposes after death till it is proved.

It's so horrible to know about such things happening in Mangalore. As the days pass, the peaceful image of Mangalore is changing to a communally charged, and now black magic practicing place. It is such a disturbing news.

The bones look like the ones used by medical students to learn human anatomy. so some medico must have disposed his possesions in the garbage and nothing else.

What is happening to Mangalore, the beautiful and caring community of early days in my life. Everyday is a fearful day to live here. Contractors are constructing the buildings where ever they feel fit even on foot paths. Can't walk or drive due to rowdiness of bus drivers. Garbage thrown on footpaths in heaps where elders can't walk at all.

Rowdy yougsters stand in groups on middle of roads while we drive and do not move. If horn is blown as signal for them to move, they will stay longer and make us wait until they are done with their horseplay.

Now human bones of Children in garbage pile. May be Cannibals are living amongst us. This was one item which was missing among other illegal activities in Mangalore. What is left anymore?

These bones were the bones used by medical students to study the anatomy . We can easily identify the markings done on the bones. So no need to panic.

Well! I don’t say this is shocking news in the place like Mangalore. In Mangalore city there are Black Magician’s or Astrologers in each and every street. They show this kind of skeletons to their customers and bluff them that their problems will solve by some mantras and poojas.

I feel it’s a job of some Black Magician. In Mangalore city there are many Black Magician’s, the number of Black Magician’s are increased only because many Mangalorean’s believe in such kind of non-sense things even in this Y2K generation including Christians.

I strongly believe that it’s not a murder it’s the job of some astrologer or of a black magician in Mangalore city. My kind advice to all the readers is don’t believe in such Black Magic’s, They only bluff people and nothing else… Face your life as it comes. Black Magician’s and Astrologers are not God… They bluff people to make their leaving.
