Daughter plans to convert, join ISIS, father seeks NIA intervention

New Delhi, Sep 21 (Agencies): A former army officer has sought help from the National Investigation Agency (NIA) after discovering that his daughter was planning to join the dreaded terror outfit, Islamic State (ISIS).

Intelligence Bureau officials have been trying to dissuade the Delhi University graduate after the NIA sought help in dealing with the issue, reported The Indian Express.

The woman in her mid-20s planned to convert to Islam and then make her way to Syria through Australia.

The matter came to light when the former army officer found internet communications between his daughter and alleged ISIS recruiters on her computer.

Former Home Secretary L C Goyal had chaired a meeting last month attended by police chiefs of 12 states and top intelligence officials to formalise strategies to tackle ISIS radicalisation of Indian youth.

    This is a real concern of retired army officer when his daughter incline to join ISIS and convert.The need is genuine and NIA intervention may be encouraged.

    akin to KISMIS or KISKIS...
    I know how to transform such girls
    especially rebel girls. it is done by some 'intellectual drubbing' as it call it.
    I take classes called 'How Love Transforms' for such cases. if it is not too late, the case can be referred to me.
    What all girls are there in this age!

    ISIS is a dreaded ideology...For some joining ISIS is a adventure...those who are joining are just young adults just after their formal.education...Last week a survey on naxalites from a Indian agency found that more than 90% of people joined the movement for the sake of holding ammunition and wearing military uniform and shouting slogans...rather than Maoist ideology itself...For those who join ISIS it is similar thing which motivates them ..i.e concept of adventure in a dream land......imam of the masjid from western countries are really worried how to keep converts which is happening to Islam at a high rate even in the midst of propaganda from being influenced from pseudo Islamic states like ISIS...Well a army officer daughter converted for the sake of ISIS...Well we dont need such fake converts.....Or it might be fear of her father by converting to certain religion she may join ISIS...Lot of such cases too have happened ...
