'Superman' stunt sends four Malaysian to prison


Kuala Lumpur, Sep 21 (IANS): A Malaysian court on Monday sentenced four men to two days' jail each and fined them 5,000 ringgit ($1,171) apiece after they pleaded guilty to doing a "superman" stunt while riding their motorcycles.

The four men were charged with riding the motorcycle in a dangerous manner by doing the superman stunt, which was riding the machine by lying down with the chest on the cushion seat and their legs stretched.

The offence was committed on the DUKE Expressway in Kuala Lumpur between September 19 and 20.

The charge carries a maximum imprisonment for up to five years and fine and disqualification from holding or obtaining a driving licence for a period of not less than two years.
