Srinagar, Sep 22 (IANS): Security forces shot dead a militant on Tuesday in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district.
A police officer told IANS that security forces surrounded a house in Kawni village, after which the militants hiding there lobbed a grenade and opened fire.
In the fighting, the Special Operations Group of the police shot dead the militant. "The identity of the militant is being established," he said.
