Indian equities trade lower on Wednesday


Mumbai, Sep 23 (IANS): A day after a steep fall, Indian equities again opened lower on Wednesday in line with global cues.

The sensitive index (Sensex) opened at 25,526.53 points against Tuesday's close at 25,651.84.

After an hour into trading, the key index was ruling at 25,570.43 points with a loss of 81.41 points, or 0.32 percent.

The trend was similar on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) where the broader 50-strip Nifty was ruling at 7,772.65 points with a loss of 39.35 points or 0.50 percent.
