Three school kids injured in Bengal crude bomb blast

Kolkata, Sep 25 (IANS): Three students, including two girls, were injured when a crude bomb exploded inside a primary school in West Bengal's Burdwan district on Friday, police said.

The students were playing on the roof of the Dahuka Girish Primary School in Dahuka village under Khandaghosh police station. The school was closed on account of Eid-ul-Azha.

The explosion took place when a child mistook some bombs kept in a bag on the roof for balls and hurled one of them towards his friends.

The bomb blast injured the three students - a brother-sister duo and a girl studying in class seven, a police officer said.

All the injured have been admitted in the Burdwan Medical College and Hospital.

Later, police recovered two more live bombs from the spot.
