Over 65,000 stimulant pills seized in Myanmar


Beijing, Sep 26 (IANS): Counter-narcotics police have seized more than 65,000 stimulant tablets worth $254,000 in Yangon, the former capital of Myanmar, the media reported on Saturday.

The pills were discovered after police received a tip-off from a local resident on Friday, Xinhua news agency reported.

In July, an inspection team seized 26.7 million stimulant tablets with a street value of more than $100 million in Mingaladon township in Yangon, the biggest drug bust in Myanmar.
