Odisha approves four investment proposals worth Rs.1,542 cr


Bhubaneswar, Sep 26 (IANS): The Odisha government on Saturday cleared four investment proposals worth Rs.1,542 crore.

The State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA) headed by Chief Secretary G.C. Pati in-principle approved the four proposals.

It approved the proposal of Kashvi International Pvt Ltd, which has proposed to set up a pelletisation plant with an investment of Rs.152.77 crore at Jhumpura in Keonjhar, said Kalyan Mohanty, general manager of the Industrial Promotion and Investment Corporation of Orissa Limited (IPICOL).

The plant would provide employment to 188 people.

The SLSWCA also approved a two mtpa coal washery plant to be set up by Prakrutik Enterprises at Talcher with an investment of Rs.104.4 crore, which would provide employment to 200 people.

The proposal of Bahrain-based Midal Cables Ltd for setting up a 60,000 tonnes per annum aluminium conductor manufacturing unit at Angul Aluminium Park was also approved, said Mohanty.

It would invest Rs.358.9 crore in the project while it would provide employment to 350 people.

Besides, the SLSWCA approved the site shifting of Emami cement, which has proposed to set up a plant near Tangi in Cuttack with an investment of Rs.401 crore.
