Rahul puts to rest speculations on his whereabouts

New Delhi, Sep 28 (IANS): Where is Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi? On Monday, Gandhi put to rest all speculation about his whereabouts with a post on the 'Office of RG' twitter account.

He has been attending an international conference in Aspen, US.

"Very interesting discussions on the global economy & the disruptive power of tech at the conference in Aspen," the Congress leader wrote on the account.

Though the Congress insisted that he has not gone on another sabbatical, like after the Lok Sabha poll results, speculations were rife on social media about the real reason behind his visit to the US.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) termed his visit to the uS a "forced vacation".

However, Congress party spokesperson Randeep Surjewala recently told the media that Gandhi was in fact travelling to Aspen, US, on a short visit to attend a conference.

Buttressing the claim, Congress leader Milind Deora posted his photo on Twitter account along with Gandhi and Iceland President Olafur Ragnar Grimsson.

The photo was captioned: "Snapshots from a new media & international affairs conf in CO, USA with @OfficeOfRG, Iceland's President & @DMiliband."
