Sullia, July 17: Shivaprakash Adpangaya, the secretary of Gram Panchayat has been suspended following the misappropriation of funds in the Rajeev Gandhi drinking water scheme implemented in Aranthod near here.
An enquiry was demanded on the possibilities of misappropriation by Shivaprakash and when the enquiry was carried on, it came into consideration that the reports related to the implementation of plan were not satisfactory.
It is also reported that suspension order has been issued by deputy secretary, for not confirming the quality of the submersible pipes.
But Shivaprakash has denied the charges and said that the charges made against him are baseless and demanded a transparent enquiry into the charges.
