Swaraj, British foreign secretary discuss Modi's visit to Britain


New York, Sep 30 (IANS): External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj met British Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond Tuesday to discuss Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Britain in November.

Hammond told Swaraj that everyone in the United Kingdom was looking forward to Modi's first visit as prime minister to that country and the trip's outcome, External Affairs Ministry Spokesman Vikas Swarup told reporters here.

In the course of their talks here, Britain's participation in India's Smart Cities program and their investments in each other's countries also came up, Swarup said.
