Mumbai, Sep 30: Kannadiga Kalavidara Parishat Maharastra held their eighth annual meeting at the Samarasa Bhavan of Karnataka Sangha Mumbai, Matunga West on Tuesday, September 29.
The meeting was chaired by Parishat president Surendrakumar Hegde. Joint secretary Chandravathi Devadiga, founder president S T Vijayakumar Thingalaya, senior artistes Dr Vyasaraya Ninjooru, H B L
Rao, Thonse Vijayakumar Shetty and V K Suvarna were present on the dais.
Surendra Kumar in his presidential address said that the Parishat is involved in secular and multi lingual pro society work. “The secured life of an artiste is our goal. Artistes should be generous in order to achieve that goal,” he said.
Honorary chief secretary Navunda Raju Sriyan read previous year's report. Treasurer P B Chandrahas presented the annual income and expenditure account. K V R Aithal was appointed internal auditor and
Rao and Ashok, chartered accountants were appointed auditors in the meeting.
Convener Kusuma Poojary, working committee members Damodar Shetty Eruvailu, Ashok Sasihithlu, Karnooru Mohan Rai, Padmanabha Sasihitlu and Juliet Pereira were present.
Dr Sunitha M Shetty, H B L Rao, K K Shetty, Dr Vyasaraya Ninjooru, Thonse Vijayakumar Shetty, Gururaj S Nayak, Anil Hegde, Mohan Marnad, Omdas Kannangar, Arvind Shetty Kojakolli, Tara Bangera, Vittal Prabhu,
S T Vijayakumar and others expressed their opinions, praised the service of the Parishat and provided suggestions for the all round development of the Parishat.
Parishat president Surendra Kumar Hegde presented flower bouquets to Thonse Vijayakumar Shetty, N T Poojary and Kamalaksha Saraf and praised their unique contribution to dramatics.
Ranjani Moily led the prayer. Vice president Kamalaksha Saraf welcomed. Ramesh Shivapura managed the programme. Joint treasurer Navin Shetty Innabalike proposed the vote of thanks.
