Afghan forces retake Kunduz from Taliban


Kabul, Oct 1 (IANS): The Afghan special forces recaptured Kunduz city from Taliban militants on Thursday, the government said.

Sediq Sediqqi, spokesman for the interior minister, said on Twitter that the city was retaken and there was heavy casualty on the side of Taliban militants, Xinhua reported.

Taliban militants captured Kunduz on Monday.
