Bengaluru: Governor seeks report on rape cases against Raghaveshwara Bharathi

Bengaluru, Oct 2: Karnataka governor Vajubhai Vala has demanded a report from the state government on the rape cases filed against Raghaveshwara Bharathi Swamiji of Ramachandrapura Math and the progress of investigations.

As per sources, a letter was received at the chief secretary’s office on Thursday October 1, demanding a report on the two separate cases filed by two women levelling rape charges against Swamiji. The letter sent from the governor’s office seeks the report on facts relating to the case.

National Commission for Women chairperson Lalitha Kumaramangalam had met the governor a few days back and complained to him that the progress in the case was not satisfactory and there was some suspicion that the investigating officers were favouring the accused.

The Swamiji has managed to get anticipatory bail even for the second case. He also did not turn up for the medical examination on September 30 at Victoria Hospital in connection to the cases.

    Dear friends,
    Somewhere i saw 1 of my friend wrote 1 comment,"72 times having sex is not called "RAPE" this is NOTHING but compromise of both party and the things not gone well the out come is become as "RAPE"",
    Really im getting laugh and sad on this comment, what my friend is goin to prove here i dint get, 1 swamiji of temple, maulana of masjid, father of church, y v ppl r respecting this ppls? Thy have 1 respct in this world, if thy doing mistakes knowingly an ppl are supporting thm with blind eyes, thn wats the difference btwn 1 criminal common person and ppl lik this wich v are respecting? V dont knw this person is culprit or not , this can be known only after court, but please dont spread lik this messages friend, coz all religion have their culture, any religion wont say u hve to keep lik this relationship with many gals or boys as u wish. If my frend blive this thn i blive tat my frend who commented lik this heraftr wont do, coz in kannada if v are saying anaithika sambandha means its anaithika only , v cant say its a naithika sambandha. Pls frend u support whom u want no probs, bt dnt comment lik this wich gets bad impression on indian and also evry religion culture. V are indians and v have some respect all over world, its by our olden age swamis, maulvis, fathers etc, but v have to maintain our dignity everywhere in world.

    We need respect the persons even though they have committed sin.This is what Jesus did.He condemned the sin but forgave the sinner.In India we find Media is thirsting to publish such cases very fast.Truely we need to respect......Not because he is a swamiji but he is a human being.Ofcourse Law will take action......Why only this person is pointed out....Where is the woman?Why did she allow that act to take plce so many times .....?

    The Governor here is overstepping his position. Probably he thinks he is ruling over elected government like in Union Territory of Delhi.
    The matter is subjudice & calling for reports is interference in their work as well as tainted person is not a Public servant or Chief Minister or Minister in this case.
    It is Operation Cover Up prompted by the Higher Ups.

    The country is ruled by people who are part and parcel of a group that call and claim themselves as protectors of Hindu religion and Hindu culture.
    For the BJP Man, Karnataka Gov, there must be pressure from Delhi to release this Seer from the clutches of Karnataka Police.
    Why the governor never asked on sowmya murder case even though thousands of citizens have come on road.
    Why the national commission wake up only when a Seer is a accused, why not the NCW asking on Sowmya murder and other so many rape cases?
    It is simple, they even entertain and involve a woman to claim Asaram is innocent.
    We all know by this time, that in Asaram case, every witness either killed or targeted who can be a threat for the case.
    The young Sadhvi Sarasvati who once visited DK says every where that Asaram is her Guru and He is innocent.

    If Raghaveshwara Bharathi says he is innocent than why he is afraid of medical examination???? If People and Government got proof and witnesses why people or Government is not taking action against him. If people here the rumors about beef eating they will go and kill that person. If people knows someone raped than why can't they give same punishment to the rapist?????

    From the newspaper reports, it may pl be observed that Swamiji has already attended medical examination. The extra medical examination now sought for is for potency for which swamiji contends that he is a man and therefore the said test is not necessary. There is no wrong in government also as it is already entrusted the case to CID which has almost completed investigation and filed the chargesheet.
