12 killed as US transport plane crashes in Afghanistan


Kabul, Oct 2 (IANS): At least 12 people were killed when a US transport plane crashed at a local airport in Afghanistan's Jalalabad city late Thursday, sources said early Friday.

"The C-130 American plane crashed at Jalalabad airport at around midnight," a local source told Xinhua news agency.

Details about the incident remained unknown.
