Mangaluru: Hundreds descend on streets for health run with Afreen Vaz

Mangaluru, Oct 2: Hundreds of youths joined the 'Run 4 Health' marathon organised by a Cancer Foundation, Early Detection For a Better Future (EDBF) from City Centre Mall in city on Friday October 2 to create awareness on cancer especially in rural India.









































Addressing the gathering Femina Miss India Afreen Vaz said, "I am very excited because this is the first health run and the first fundraising event by EDBF an NGO that I have founded to help the rural parts of India. Right now we have got lot of students from different colleges of Mangaluru coming here in support of the wonderful cause."

Lal Goel promoter, Pandith Health Resort said, "Health is wealth an it is very important. Afreen has taken up a very good cause."

Paulose, Global TV owner said that Afreen has showed her concern for the health of the society.

Laxman Kunder, Charan Suvarna from Fashion ABCD, Dr Bhasker, Giving Tree Trust and others were also present on this occassion.

Mohammed Ashiq compered the ceremony.

EDBF is a cancer foundation launched by Afreen Vaz, who is also medical student.

The health run started from City Center Mall and went through Hampankatta, St Aloysius College, Jyothi Bunts Hostel, PVS, Navbharat circle and culminated at City Center Mall.

    To cut it short do almost all things like..A.V....
    Don't:
    1. Run like Buffoons.
    2. Go for selfies...
    3. Pose with paint and make up...
    and many other like things on a 'Cancer Awareness Run '...
    it will make you look stupid.

    Wow, What Photo session. I felt like it was not a health run but a Jolly run. Everyone having fun, Photo session with different poses.

    First get the drainage in order which breeds mosquitoes and spreads Malaria and dengue deadly diseases then start running for health.Health is wealth. Punish those who are letting dirty toilet water to rain water canals
