Manchester, Oct 2 (IANS): English Premier League giants Manchester United are keen on roping in Turkish attacking midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu from Bayer Leverkusen, according to reports.
The 21-year-old was closely followed by the Red Devils in the last few months of the transfer window which shut down a few days back, British media reports said on Friday.
United now want him in the squad ahead of the January window.
The young playmaker who can be lethal in dead-ball situations has been tipped for a bright future in football and if United can scoop him in, he is likely to be a replacement of German midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger who has been slow to get going at Old Trafford.
