Canara Bank hammer ERSA 7-3 in Beighton Cup hockey

Kolkata, Oct 2 (IANS): Canara Bank hammered ERSA 7-3 in a high scoring Beighton Cup encounter at the SAI ground here on Friday.

Rahul struck twice for Canara while Ratan, Somanna K.M, Rajendra, John Vergese and Dinesh K.P netted the other goals. For ERSA Dipak Kullu, S. Baxla and Aijub got on the scoresheet.

In another contest, Central Secretariat beat SAI Centre 3-1. Abhishek scored a brace for Central and Vikash Pillay found the back of the net once. Only Roushan Kumar could strike for the losers.

In the third game of the day, CAG downed CESC Sports Club 4-0. Md Naiemuddin and Chandan Singh struck twice each.
