Mangalore, Jul 20: Suratkal MLA, Krishna Palemar has requested district-in-charge minister Nagaraj Shetty, to construct the Chitrapur- Hosabettu Bridge near Gundyadka 10th Baikampady ward of Mangalore City Corporation.
Minister Nagaraj Shetty has in turn has directed the secretary of fisheries department to proceed further in the regard and construct a bridge in the proposed area.
It is said that this bridge would benefit around 5,000 people who are living in the vicinity, the announcement by the minister's office told.
