Mangaluru: Man killed, woman injured as car hits lorry at Panambur

Mangaluru, Oct 4: A man was killed and a woman seriously injured in an accident near MCF at Panambur here in the early hours of Sunday October 4.

The deceased has been identified as Girish (40), a resident of Adyapady, Bajpe.

The accident occured at around 4.30 am. It is learnt that Girish was driving a Bolero towards Mangaluru city on the highway, when he lost control and rammed into a lorry parked on the service road at Panambur.

A woman who was with him in the car was seriously injured and admitted to a private hospital. Her identity is not yet known.

Suratkal traffic police registered a case.

    What a tragedy. But unfortunately we are so used to these fishy incidents, accidents that we suspect every accident. or else, this one looks a real accident where the driver lost control and hit the lorry. He himself lost his life. I don't think there is any hidden agenda. also, some one wrote some comment on other lady who survived in this accident and as her identity is yet to be known. Could be right, very practical. because it could be his relative, his friend.. knowing woman... could be anybody... why we need to suspect again on this also... I think we so used to suspect on each and everything we see... any ways, a big tragedy and a valuable life is lost due to negligence.

    The person who died has the identity but who is alive is not yet known. How is that really possible. Looks weird.
