Mangaluru: Contract workers of United Breweries go on strike

Mangaluru, Oct 5: The contract workers of United Breweries, Bykampady, Mangaluru have gone on an indefinite strike from Oct 5 mornimg demanding reinstatement of nine contract workers whose services have been terminated by the company without giving any reasons.










Vasanth Acharya, Chief Secretary of Motor and Engineering Workers union, CITU who termed the action as inhuman, has warned that remaining workers also will join the strike if the jobs are not given back to the workers.

Contract workers union representatives Praveen Kumar, Prashanth, Sunder and other leaders were present.
