Mahatma Gandhi's statue damaged in Patna


Patna, Oct 6 (IANS): A statue of Mahatma Gandhi here in Bihar's capital was damaged by some "anti-social elements", triggering a protest by locals who demanded the administration take stern action, police said on Tuesday.

"A white marble statue of Gandhiji was damaged... it appears to be an act of anti-social elements. Police have begun an investigation into the incident," police official Ashok Pandey said here.
