Mangalore, Jul 20: In yet another water tragedy three students from Tamil Nadu met watery grave at Panambur beach here on Friday July 20 morning.
The drowned have been identified as Santhosh, Sudesh and Suresh, students of Sona College from Salem. They had come on an educational trip to the city along with 42 of their companions and 2 lecturers. Among them 9 were women.
The entire group had come to Panambur beach in the morning. Despite the sea was rough, some students had got into the sea to swim ignoring the warnings by the locals. Warning signals have even been put on various boards along the beach. But most of the tourists ignore this to their own peril, say locals.
