Cabinet approves formation of Indian Skill Development Service


New Delhi, Oct 7 (IANS): The union cabinet on Wednesday gave its approval to the formation of the Indian Skill Development Service (ISDS), a technical cadre under the skill development and entrepreneurship ministry.

"This was earlier called the Directorate General of Employment and Training, Ministry of Labour Employment," said an official statement.

It said changes approved in cadre structure will include increase of one post at the senior administrative grade level and increase of four posts at the junior administrative grade level.
