Parrikar, service chiefs to meet over combat roles for women

New Delhi, Oct 8 (IANS): Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar will meet all three services chief next week to discuss induction of women in combat roles, sources said.

"The defence minister will meet three service chiefs next week over induction of women in combat roles," said a source close to the minister said.

Indian Air Force Arup Raha on Thursday announced women will be induced as fighter pilots soon. The air force is first of three services to make such announcement.
