Supplies and disposal directorate chief gets extension


New Delhi, Oct 8 (IANS): The tenure of Directorate General of Supplies and Disposal chief Siddharth has been extended till November 30, an official statement said on Thursday.

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the extension of central deputation tenure of Siddharth from September 21 till his superannuation on November 30, it said.

The directorate, under the commerce and industry ministry, is a central purchase and quality assurance organisation.

Spices Board Chairman A. Jayathilak would continue to hold additional charge of the post of chairman of Rubber Board till November 27 or until a regular appointment, the release said.
