Moodbidri, Oct 9: A car hit a college bus from behind at Gandhinagar on the Mangaluru-Moodbidri national highway on the evening of Thursday October 8. Two people in the car were seriously injured in the accident.
The bus belonging to Alva’s College was moving slowly near Moodbidri market enroute Vidyanagari due to barricades in Gandhinagar. Meanwhile, the speeding car coming from the Market Road hit the bus from behind. The front portion of the car got stuck under the rear portion of the bus due to the impact.
It is said that those in the car had consumed liquor from a bar in Moodbidri and sped away without paying the bill. The two injured have been admitted in a hospital and their identity is yet to be ascertained.
Moodbidri police arrived and conducted an investigation.
