Spanish stock market rises


Madrid, Oct 9 (IANS): Spanish stock market index Ibex-35 rose 0.11 percent to close at 10,181.20 points, up from the 10,170 points of the previous day.

Banco Popular shares led rises climbing 4.02 percent on Thursday, followed by Banco Sabadell, Caixabank, Sacyr, Acerinox and AENA that, respectively, rose 3. 90 percent, 2.61 percent, 2.45 percent, 2.15 percent and 1.99 percent.

On the other hand, Abengoa "B" shares led falls losing 4.47 percent, followed by OHL, Telefonica, Grifols, Banco Santander and Inditex that, respectively, lost 2.80 percent, 1.31 percent, 0.76 percent, 0.61 percent and 0.46 percent, Xinhua reported.

Meanwhile, Spain's 10 year bond interest rate stood at 1.8 percent and Spain's risk premium stood at 124.20 points, both showing no big differences when compared with Wednesday closing time.
